For sale is an 18th Century ANTIQUE early lighting device, called double Betty lamp. It is sometimes called CRUSIE LAMP, Grease lamp, WHALE OIL lamp, etc. This one has unique and highly decorative cut work and engraved pattern on both stems. It looks like a fan, Likely Pennsylvania Dutch origin.The smaller oil cup is hooked onto the larger oil cup by an iron arm and can be separated into two pieces. It has the original iron spike that allows it to be hang on a mantle (see photo) or to be fixed to a beam using the very sharp spike. A truly complete and original piece to add to your early lighting collection. The lamp (without the spike) is about 6" high with a 5" spike.
