She has an open mouth with soft reddish lips and bears 4 upper teeth. Her head retains her original cardboard pate with a long black curly mohair wig and she has pierced ears. She has a lovely brown complexion that complements her brown bisque head.
This truly is a fine rare example of a mulotto Jumeau, be sure to grab her up as she wont be available very long! Markings- Her head is marked Tete Jumeau, S. Paris, 6 on the back of the head (incised).Dress- She wears a gorgeous silk pink party dress and Hat in combination of rose, pink and beige shades of colours. The dress features drop waist with generous gathered skirt in fine rose silk. The bodice made of light pink satin silk and covered by antique irish lace piece made by hand with fine linen threads in beige color. The sleeves ornate with beige organza pieces. The underskirt is antique glazed batiste covered by scalloped and eyelet embroidery beige cotton ruffles.
Beige cotton pipping around the neckline. The dress is decorated with beige translucent silk bows on the skirt and the sleeves and one huge bow at the back made of beige satin.
The back closure has 5 pairs of black metal hooks and eyes. Lovely secret pocket inside the bodice. The hat material is straw and it's ornate with double rows of gathered beige organza ruffles and translucent rose and fuchsia ribbon bow at the back. Decorated by antique roses bouquet with silk petals in white to rose shades and green oilcloth leaves.The hat is lined in beige lace. She retains her original dress which would be indicative of the late 1880's. She wears underneath her dress all original laced pantilooms and pleated slip, cream cotton socks and little black leather shoes. Condition- Generally excellent with minor wear. Her stringing is excellent as she holds a nice pose. Her bisque head is free of any cracks, hairlines or restorations.
She has wear at her arm and leg joint lines as well as her feet, well expected for a doll atleast 120 years old. Her right fingers have been touched up with paint, but her fingers are in excellent shape. There is a tiny wear at her left pierced ear lobe.
